Does it require to remove the bumper in order to install Hid's.?
I just bought the HiD package for the accord coupe but was wondering if i need to remove the bumper in order to install the Hids. And if not, is there any good videos that shows you how to do it yourself?
Your answer is greatly appreciated. Thank you |

I don't think you need to I'm sure you can do it without removing the bumper but I found it way easier to install once I took off the bumper, also made more room to have a cleaner install.

You do not have to remove the front bumper! I did mine through my wheel wells. Just turn your wheel in, and there are two push pins that you remove and pull the guard back and it's easy acces straight to your headlight. I did mine in 15 minutes!

2 nd that. Through the wheel wells, secured balast top with self tapping screws for easy access if need be replaced . Hopefully you ordered a plug and play hid kit. Check out you tube, search hid install, there's actually a video of a 7th gen accord similar layout. Good luck.

For low beams you do not! I did mine in an hour without removing the wheels or the bumper.
However, I want to do my fogs. I have a v6 sedan, must I remove the bumper to install those? I don't have a problem removing the wheels, just the bumper. |

Yes the bumper will have to come off for the fog install. If you order extra clips just in case , it is a simple bolt on bolt off process.

OP: as you have already found you can install a kit without removing the front bumper. Just take your time removing the fender liner and you will be able to access the area you need to access. Steve

I just installed my HIDs for the fogs without removing the bumper. you just have to be very careful and navigate inside blindly but take your time. You dont have to remove the bumper but why it is best is because you can mount the ballast in a secure place. Im happy with where i mounted them. I dont know how i would describe the location but zipties are going to be your friend, maybe 3M tape. make sure you test everything first too before putting stuff back. and do not use too much force on those fender clips. they are about $2-3 a piece! you definitely do not want to break them and they will break very very easily. Do everything in the fender well one time. the more you remove the clips, the crappier they get and will seem like the fender doesnt even want to go back anymore. good luck
