You are planning to spend all this money on the car, then keep it only a short time, and sell it? Seems like a colossal waste of money, considering you will not get a small fraction of that money back when you do sell it. Heavily modded cars don't sell well at all, because modifications you like, are not necessarily mods others like, or will pay extra for. Most times, modifications reduce the value of the car, not increase it. But hey, it's your money right?

How bad is the paint condition? If it's just swirls and minor scratches then a good detailing shop can polish the paint to look many times better, a good paint job is not cheap and I agree with above post that it would be bad utilization (I won't even say investment) of the money spent.

I have the same car, and the clearcoat is peeling. From talking to body shops, a good paint job will cost $4000 or more, and you will never get that money back when you sell it. So, unless you are planning to keep the car for a while, it's just not worth it. You would be better off selling the car for $2000 less, and letting the next owner pay for the new paint job. A good paint job cost more than a new engine or transmission, so think about how long you want to keep this car, before spending that kind of money on it.

Do you have a v6? If not, it's called a headER. There's only one on a 4cyl. And if you have a V6, 03+ accords don't have headers.
