2 Kicker Solo Baric L7s in 09 Accord Coupe EX

Hello, I recently picked up kicker DS12L7 dual Solo Baric subs from a friend of mine. I am looking at putting them into my 09 Accord Coupe EX, but I don't know how they would work with the stock deck since they're pushing peak 1500 RMS. I am not sure what AMP I will be buying yet since I will have to save up a chunk of change for one that can push that amount of power without issue. So essentially I am asking if I were to use an AMP that can power these subs, should I replace the stock deck or will it be OK and if it will be OK, what type of mods may I need to do to make this set-up work the best?

the stock deck already has a sub out, so you should be fine. But if you really want to fine tune your music, you should look into getting a separate deck. L7s are really powerful subs, and you want to make sure you have a top of the line amp as the subs are high end model. You should get a 2 channel amp and bridge the connection to get the most RMS output. make sure the amp at least is rated at 2000RMS

Careful, your alternator might not be able to handle the load.

Replacing the stock deck is kind of a pain but it can make your overall system a lot better. No noise, no LOC's to worry about. Youll lose your LCD screen though but if you make sure you get a aftermarket deck that has an input for steering wheel controls you can keep those. Still, I think it is a better way to go. Crutchfield has the dash kit, wiring harness and all the stuff youll need. $140 shipped IIRC for the dash kit and the steering wheel control adapter.

Those L7's are awesome subs by the way.

non nav - get an aftermarket double din
nav - get a processor

btw, you don't have the trunk space nor the electrical for those l7's to perform.

Using 1 would be better.
