watchyourcar.org

I was browsing around for theft prvention ideas and I came across this website watchyourcar.org they provide tips, ideas and even a free etching kit to etch your vin into windows. What my concern is why is the etching kit free? I filled out the form expecting a charge but they didn't and no I am worried why it is free a too good to be true deal.... Anyone have any info on the legitimacy of this website?

Some of the high tech auto thieves use the cars vin to get a key to steal the car. Thats why its not a good idea to put the vin on the windows anymore. Some people even use something to hide the vin by the dashboard.

It sounds like to me a big site to take your VIN so they can prepare to steal people's cars.

Be on the look out for a charge on your card. Chances are they will use your card for a key. If not, I'm not really sure what else you can do without having locks rekeyed or contacting Honda to see if something can be done to notify you if a key code is requested or issued.

They didn't charge though, they didn't ask for a card number or anything just address and type of car.
