diableri's 2012 Coupe Project (Image Heavy!)
Hi guys,
Just decided to do a work log. I won't be doing anything too radical to my Accord, mostly small things but decided I would go ahead and chronicle it as part of the project. The car is a 2012 Taffeta and Ivory 2.4L EX-L with Navi. Gallery of just some of my cars over the years (wish I had taken more pictures, I used to build, show and sell street rods when I was younger) and many more of the accord: https://picasaweb.google.com/1003362...eat=directlink I just scheduled the install for the fogs, int lighting, roof visor and front HFP (because they'll have the front apart for the fogs). The rest of the HFP body kit will come a later when they get it in. That was all part of the purchase deal. Rest of the planned mods are some sheepskins (mandatory for our summers) from a local shop, weather tech rain visors and tinting. Then Homelink, full LEDs and maybe a few other goodies from College Hills. I would assume a slight lowering and some kind of wheels but I don't know what I want to do with those yet so wheels and suspension will likely come last. At some point, I'll start de-chroming because I don't care for it on newer cars. I may go with something besides black though just for a different look. I like the idea of a hematite/black chrome like finish instead of the flat black. We have a great chrome shop in town the rodders use that can do it. Any advice along the way is welcome. It'll be fun to have a toy again. I just have to keep myself from buying the little '65 falcon convertible V8 I just found now. ![]() The befores: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Looks nice! I think someone stole your engine cover. If not the car was suppose to have it. You should drop it on coilovers and get a set of 19's or 20's with at least a 9" width. That will really make her look hot.

There are a few Volks that I really like but I'm really torn about what I want to do with the wheels and I can't really drop it too much and still use the car where I live (lots of rural roads, seriously the people that live across the street are orange trees) and I need taller tires than most would like to run complete the "look". I'll probably figure that part out last. |

What volk wheels are you looking at? Any drop, even an inch looks better than factory. Honda loves those wheel gaps you can stick a fist in

Without checking compatibility, offsets or anything at all; I've always loved the classic racing wheels. I think they're called PCDs and there's a couple models. I also liked the gravel line.
These I think: http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/2...&c9=8614&r=534 http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/2...&c9=8614&r=755 http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/2...&c9=8614&r=971 Again, I haven't checked for fitment, sizing, offset or anything like that. I want to get the body kit done and then I'll do some mock ups when I get to that point since if I go with the most expensive options, it's going to be a fair chunk of money. |

that's cool and all, but you're not going to fit te37L's...only current te's that are out are the SL's for our 5x114.3 unless you find a used set

Hence all the fit disclaimers. Wheels are a long way away.

They stopped giving the accord an engine cover to cut costs after 2010 I believe. It wasn't stolen lol

Wow what a shame. The cover shouldn't even cost much. Honda has sure cheaper out in the past years.

OP, you should get some TE37SL. It'll definitely separate you from the rest of the other Accords riding on vossens...

So had a few of the things done today that were part of the purchase. Rest of the body kit later in the year. Next up will probably be the seat covers and tint.
