HIDs
So this'll be my first Accord and I figure I should start off with HID lights. It's a 2012 White LXP Accord and I can't decide whether to get 8K or 6K lights. Opinions?

I don't really like blue lights. My first kit was 6k and I ended up going with 5k.
Out of those options, i'd go with 6k. |

If you truly want to improve the headlight beam and your night vision then go with an H9 halogen bulb in the coupe or a 9012 halogen bulb in the sedan. If you want to reduce your long distance night vision and want to spew a lot of glare into the eyes of oncoming drivers then buy a HID kit that uses bulbs that cannot and will not function properly in a headlight designed for halogen bulbs. This web site will explain why HID kits are never a good idea.

If your looking for a nice soft blue but nothing crazy go with 8k. I went with 8k on mine and I'd never change it...to me bright white is dull thats not what you pay for HID.

Blue= rice, it also equals less visible light on the road. Stick with 4300k or 5k. I had 5ks on my ms3 and decided on 4300k for my accord.

HIR modded bulbs. Almost double the output of stock, but still 55W, and lasts closer to 3-4 years. Plus, you still get the OEM beam pattern, designed for your car.

Until one of them color shifts and you end up with 5k on one side and 6k on the other. Happened to three kits that I bought recently (last year).
