'13 Accord EX-L I4 in Modern Steel Metallic

Thought I'd post a few pics of my Accord that I picked up Tuesday evening. EX-L Modern Steel Metallic with Gray interior. Only Accessories installed right now are splashguards and locking lugnuts. Moonroof Visor is on the way as well as cargo net & cargo hooks. Future mods on the list as budget and availability allows: tint, door window vents (when they become available), homelink, hood lifts, Touring LED headlights, and door sill guards.

Beautiful!!!++

Great color. Kinda mysterious color, or are my eyes just fooling me. Anyway, I like it a lot.

How about some pix of the interior?

PS How do the fog lights look when they're on?

PPS Not sure if it's just the angle, but I'm diggin the front view. Happy and aggressive/muscular at the same time. From far away it looks somewhat similar to gen 8, but the closer you get the more different (and better!) it looks, imho.

It does change color a bit depending on light. Would love to see the formulation, there has got to be a touch of magenta in it.....

Agree, best Honda design since the S2000 IMO. Pictures don't do the car justice. Yes, there are design cues from a bunch of other cars in it, but very few cars today start from a clean sheet design. Inside and out it really looks, feels, and drives like a higher class of car. I had an 2010 Acura TSX Tech and this Accord beats that....

So far so good, definitely smoother than the automatic in my previous car, a 09 Sonata V6. It's just different in feel than a traditional automatic.

Could you put up a picture of the "LED" lights under the headlights when on. I want to see how close they are to audi light output. I know there are two different levels. I just want to see a comparison.

I got the V6 EX-L non navi trim. It gives off a lavender hue at night. It's a great color!

Here are some more pics I took this morning. Love, love, love the interior! It really has moved upscale in look and feel. Leather feels less plasticy compared to previous Hondas, and fit & finish is superb. My driver's seat is all the way back and you can see by the pic the room available both for the driver as well as the passenger behind the driver. Note that the DRL's on the I4s are all thru the headlights. The LED DRLs are only available on the V6 models (I imagine that will be another popular mod for I4s). I'll get some taillight pics once the rest of my house wakes up.....

Wow. Outstanding inside and out. Thanks for the pix. And thanks for showing the rest of us the way. Hope to have one in a few months.

If I may, a couple of more questions.

First, it does seem like there are rear LEDs on the EXL 4s? Is that true? Or are the rear LEDs only for Touring and V-6 models?

Second, are my eyes fooling me, or is there an little strip of chrome at the very bottom of the bumper? Whatever it is, looks neat.

Interior does seem rather Acura-like to me. And since you've actually owned an Acura, and said that the 2013 Accord is just as good if not better, that seems like a very good confirmation. I test drove a TSX a couple of years ago, and it was very nice....

PS How is the padding on the sides of the doors? That's one of the many things I really like about my 2008 EXL—it's very nicely padded on the sides so that when you brush or rest your hand against it it just says luxury and comfort....Same thing for the new ones, I hope.

LED tail lights are standard on EX-L and above models.
