Wheel offset help please....
Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum and was hoping to get some help. I have 2006 sedan 4cyl. I am dropping it on Tein Street Advanced Coilovers and needed help with the wheel fittment. I wanted to run 19/8.5 in front and 19/10 in the rear. I know it's front wheel drive but I'm just going for the look. I do not want any part of the wheel outside the fender and would like it slightly under if anything so I can drop the car with no issues. Any help or advice would be great. Thanks

I will suggest -100 offset since you didn't bother searching.

Welcome to DA. I suspect you have not done much searching on the forums.
But in short, you will not be able to even come close to what you are proposing without modifying the fenders, especially in the rear. This would be the case even if you were not lowering the car - lowering the chassis onto wheels that wide will make it even worse and cause significant if not constant rubbing. The best size upgrade IMO is 235/40/18 with a +40 offset - no rubbing, lowering is ok, and overall diameter is .3% different from OEM. I presume you already know that on a 4cyl Accord, adding that much unsprung weight will seriously degrade the car's handling and performance - there simply isn't enough power to move all of that effectively. I would strongly urge you to think twice about what you're proposing, unless you are absolutely certain you know what you're getting in to. Try this link out. http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp Good luck, and happy searching. |

Well thanks for the wise comment but the only way I thought and did search was by going through page by page in the 7g category. After I got to page 15 I decided to post the question. Thanks for the advice. Don't forget to tell Sneezy, Sleepy, Dopey, Doc, Happy, and Bashful I said hi.

Yeah I'm not into that crazy cambered out look. I was just looking for clean. I am going with a concave wheel so that's why I wanted the stagger. I also didn't want to do any fender mods at all so I guess I may just have to stick with 8.5 with 38 or 40.

I'm still trying to figure out what "19/8.5 in front and 19/10 in the rear" means.
All I know is that 19/8.5 = approx. 2.235 and 19/10 = 1.9 Hope that helps. |

I wanted to run 19"X8.5" with like a 40mm offset in the front and a 19"X10" in the rear. But I don't know what offset to run on the rear so I don't have any rubbing issues. But it looks like the 10" in the rear is just too wide.

I put rims on, lowered, and just had my rear fenders rolled...front were fine.. Didn't want to but i love these rims and got a great deal on them.
18x7.5 225/45 +32 18x8.0 245/45 +30 Those offsets might be reversed now that i think about it shit lol... Anyway.. The middle picture was before lowering/roll.. You can see how much the back stuck out Sent from my DROID RAZR using AutoGuide App

i love the way they look... Bpearl (Jorge) put them on Instagram for 750 with the tires (2000 miles on it) and i was lucky enough to get first dibs lol. Haven't had a problem with the front rubbing yet. And now that the back is rolled it seems golden although with it lowered i haven't pushed it yet.. The bigger oem grade tires were 20lbs heavier in the front combined, and 30 in the rear, but I'm happy with it. Sent from my DROID RAZR using AutoGuide App
