Aftermarket Navigation/Pre-Amp Help

I've been looking at the aftermarket navigation systems that give the car a OEM look such as this one http://www.autocardvdplayer.com/hond...-notebook.html

My question is this. I upgraded my speakers and their amplified but I'm using the stock head unit. The sound quality is really not what i was looking for i am guessing it's my stock head unit? my friend got a head unit installed on her stock speakers and wow it made a huge difference in sound it came to life. Even though mine is amplified its not sounding as good as her setup.

After looking around i found out that the after market head unit should have a built in processor that converts music into better quality? and that it should have a pre-amp output. Honestly i am not that tech savvy in car audio. I really like the stock look i can get out from these aftermarket units their made specially for the 8th gen sedans I couldn't find any that have pre-amp outputs or makes any difference in sound? what options do i have? I want good quality sound and the car to look stock. I really dislike the "metra" kits they make i do not want to stare at a dead screen only showcasing the clock i want everything to be functional...

basically i want good sound quality, and stock look. What are my options?
