Question 3rd Gen RX-7 rims on 2006 value package

Hi:

I saw a post here from an individual who mounted 3rd-gen RX-7 rims on his Accord EX. Are the suspension parts the same between EXes and VPs so I can do the same using the Mazda rims? My concern is the wider RX-7 rims having clearance problems from suspension parts or the wheel wells. Looks isn't a concern as indicated in that thread.

Thanks

Yes, all structural stuff is identical throughout the trim levels.

Thanks for your speedy reply. I will install 225/50R16s instead of what the original posted was going to do since the 50 series is closer to the VP's stock 195/65R15.

Is there some adjustment that's made for VPs over EXes (4-cylinder, 6 cylinder, and 6-cylinder 6 speeds) since they all have different OEM tire sizes? Would this adjustment be difficult to do or should I dispense with it and get the closest size based on the VP's OEM size?

Thanks again.

The tires will fit fine. You can fit pretty fat tires in our wheel wells on 16" rims at stock height.

225/60/16 would look better. The ones in the post you linked to are 50 aspect ratio and look tiny.

Thanks everyone for your input. I am concerned about using 225/60s because it will be over 6% difference in diameter whereas the 50-series is only 0.5%.
