Line output converters

hey guys i have an 04 accord and im looking to add subs with keeping my stock hu. my question is i was looking at a couple different loc's and my question is if anyone has used the scorsche one found at wal mart, if so did you have to run the remote wire. I went into visions and they showed me another loc manufactured by energy audio products and he told me i wouldnt need to run a separate remote wire and that it integrates the remote signal into the rca's. so my main question would be if the scorsche one requires the remote run. its a difference of $60, although he did say the energy one had a high power output.

thanks for any input you give.

The scosche blue one at Walmart doesn't require a remote wire. I bought the same one but the sound can't compare to the lc2i.

How's the set up on that one. In just trying to avoid splicing into my power via remote wire. With the one you mentioned is it required?

No, you don't need a remote wire. Just splice into the rear speakers and your done. Look at my DIY diagram, its not the best picture but you get the point. Now with the Audio Control models, its. Different method.

Also I'm looking at that lc2i and it says 12v output. Does that mean it needs a power run from the battery?

Yes, the lc2i require a 12v like an amp. Use the same remote wire fro the amp to power it.

You can run a 16awg wire from the amp's 12v terminal to the LC2i for power then ground,AC recommends using a 1A fuse but I did not install one and had no problems what so ever.
