Replacement tires for 1999 EX 6 cyl?

Hi,

Looking for replacements, size 205/65R15. I have Michelin Hydroedge on my Ody, but was told NOT to put them on an Accord. Someone has recommened Goodrich Traction T/A. I'm in Maryland, so we don't get a whole lot of snow, but I'm looking for something that will give us good traction, both wet and dry, and still be safe for moderate snow. Any recommendations/experiences will be appreicated.

It all depends on how and where you drive. We just put on the Michelin MXV4's. Not a high performance tire but they perform well in most of the conditons we drive in. Remember you need to get a V rated tire. We don't drive fast or hard but the dealer told us he wouldn't install less than a V rated tire. This is due to the V-6 and the liability he would incurr for putting on a lesser speed rated tire than came OEM. Bridgestones have always served me well on my other cars. Good Luck.

Get the Traction T/A tire. I had them on my 2000 AV6 and they were wonderful. Great in snow, rain, and dry pavement. Really reasonable as well! Get them, you won't be sorry.

I'm just saying SOME dealers won't put lesser speed rated tires on a car because of liability. What the heck? Don't slam me. I'm merely stating a fact...

So which tires do you run? I just think you are getting a little too pickey. I was only trying to give some advice.

I use Michelin X-Radials 205/65R15 92S from Costco...I'm not trying to be picky.

You can read a ton of reviews on tires on www.tirerack.com You should look into the Goodyear Assurance series tires - TripleTred and ComforTred. They've been getting good reviews, though we had a couple members on here complain of an out of round tire problem with them.
