Backup Sensors

Was thinking about getting the backup sensors installed when I get my 2013 Accord in January. I have a backup camera and sensors on my 2006 Pilot and I like having both options. Any idea what the dealers are getting for the install?

I see that the sensors are $257 so I'm figuring about $200 for the install?

Thanks in advance.

You are in luck my friend, as I have a 2013 pricing sheet for Accord Sedan that my dealer gave me. The dealers are asking $694 (!!) for the backup sensors, installed. I am sure you can get a local stereo installer or mechanic to do it for you, and save yourself a few hundred dollars. Having both the camera and sensors seem like an overkill for a sedan, but that's just my opinion.

Mick

Is the backup camera helpful at night? I was thinking backup sensors might be better than the camera for night time use.

I would like to have back sensors as well as front sensors to make parking in tight spots easier to do. My teenage son is a new driver and I think the back sensors in addition to the standard rear camera will help him, too.

WOW- I was not expecting the install to cost $437.00! Will have see what I can negotiate them down to.

Thanks for the info Mick!

It depends on the manufacture I guess. I work at carmax and I experience it they light up the darkness like they are some sort of night vision camera
