Are You More Considerate to Other Accord Drivers?

Occasionally, I catch myself being more nice to other Accord drivers in traffic. I'm pretty considerate to everyone but sometimes will find myself letting an Accord over in a merge lane (for example) even though I have already let someone else over. This may be just because I would like to check the other Accord out more as it is in front of me. I've noticed at times other Accord owners will do the same for me. I guess there's pretty good comraderie (sp?) amongst Accord drivers where I live. What about you?

There are far too many Accords on the road in my town. For me to be nice to every one of them would distract me from being a dick to every Audi driver.

I try to be friendly to each and every driver out there. Why would I care what anybody drives and, more importantly, why does any subset of drivers deserve more friendliness than others? I'm secure enough in my person that I don't feel the need to give other Honda drivers special attention.

I believe in the one for one rule when it comes to letting people in, Accord driver or not. The only exception to this would be if there is a huge line in one lane and some asshole tries to avoid the whole line and drive in the lane that's ending. Those drivers get nothing from me.

I am sometimes considerate to other Accords as well, but some of the Accord owners here won't do it for me. I guess US Accord owners are nicer than Australian Accord owners.. haha

I'm nice to everyone and try to get over when I can help someone merge.

I pretty much do the same thing but at times if someone tries to avoid the whole line, I just let em go.

It's not about whether you feel secure about yourself or not (sheesh, don't take things too seriously). I have always felt a certain amount of comraderie amongst Accord drivers, at least where I live. Since I live on an island (Oahu), it may be a different mindset. We have a lot of Honda get togethers here so it's probably more of a "Honda Community." I'm certainly not rude to the other drivers, I just sometimes find myself being a little extra to other Accord owners sometimes. Again, using the merge example. Usually you let one person in front of you in a merge lane. Sometimes I will let the one person over and maybe the Accord driver as well. Not always but sometimes. Especially if the Accord either has mods that I want to check out or if it's a model that I like to look at. If you don't, it's okay. No need to get overly philosophical over it.

Actually that is the more efficient way to merge. Both lanes should be stacked and shorter instead of one lane that is twice as long.

Besides your grand scheme is rather useless if the car behind you doesn't do the same thing.

It's only more efficient for the people that are in the "wrong" lane, i.e. the lane that is ending. And how do you suppose it is that the one lane got "longer?" Because people merged when they were supposed to.

Haha, same here! If there is a space next to an Accord, I'd park there instead somewhere else.

LOL! I keep meaning to do that and post pictures here. I think there was a thread on here about it. Also, if I see a line of say 3 Accords in a row on the highway, I will sometimes join the line provided the lane isn't moving slowly so that it looks like an Accord convoy.

Ooooh. I think I hit a nerve. Sorry about that.
