accord sport- paint freshly sealed

First off, I would like to give a big thanks to glen e. His advice to seal the paint the right way has been invaluable and was probably the best decision I could have made towards my new(isn) investment.

So today I spent a few hours outside in the lovely Long Island weather we had today and followed Glens instructions carefully on how to wash then seal the paint.

Washed the car with dawn and dried, it did not pass the baggy test to I then clayed the entire car.

I then used the griots garage random orbital with lake country 6.5 inch white pad with Blackfire Total Polish and Seal and buffed with Microfiber towel

I then used Blackfire Crystal Seal Paint Sealant over the entire car as well, trim and wheels just like Glen suggested. All I can say is wow! Unfortunately the weather is not going to cooperate tonight as there is now rain and snow in the forecast so after I apply a second coat of Crystal Seal tomorrow I will post more pictures to the thread.. But here is one for now.. Sorry if it is a little dark, it was starting to get dark out and I used my iPhone, but the reflections in the car will get the point across for tonight.

very cool - and so easy right? no more hard buffing or white powder in the cracks...it's the easiest and most gloss with no effort I have ever seen...congrats, it'll cure tonight with more gloss when you wake up! Congrats on making your first "mod", one that pays you back!

here are some day time pictures I was able to take today...still a little overcast up here on Long Island but again they get the point across...highly suggest people take the time to do this.. Ive never had one of my cars look so glossy. Plus the paint will be that much safer from the elements!

Since its still a brand new car, IMHO get it permantely sealed and get clear bra for the front. Will cost you but worth it for long run.

Great Job! If only I had read forums and knew about glen e's tips when I bought my car 4 years ago.....

Does the Civic in the first pic or the 8th gen in the last pic belong to you/your family? Just wondering..

pretty much my entire family owns honda the 8th gen is my moms, civic is my grandmothers, but like I said previously my entire family owns hondas... my previous car was an 8th gen civic and I can tell you right now.. I could never get my car to have such a gloss, and be sealed at the same time if it were not for Glens recommendations.

It took me a few hours on an overcast cool day here on Long Island to take care of it, but I enjoy spending time working on my cars like this, therapeutic to me in a sense. I dont mind working in the cold as long as the temps are above the freezing mark. But I can say right now if you can take the time in a day which i know can be hard to find sometimes, you will feel extremely accomplished and satisfied with how the car comes out when following these simple instructions. As per Glen, this does not have to be done every time you wash the car. So its a few hours once and you can get a while out of it.

I highly suggest taking Glens suggestion and getting the paint sealed up. I feel as a long term investment it probably is the smartest "mod" that can be made.

But thanks everyone for the compliments!!
