Never work just under a jack. Jack stands are mandatory.

Loosen the front lug nuts - don't take them all the way off. Jack the front up and rest on 2 jack stands. Follow the Honda manual on where/how/wheel blocks.

Then remove the front wheels and paint per Glen. Put back together. Torque lug nuts if possible.

Then do the rear 2 wheels. Then you only need 2 jack stands. For a beginner it might be more stable this way.

It depends on how you want to do it. As for me, I painted it by side(left and right). I used two jacks. One for the front and one for the back. I put the wheels (back side facing up) underneath the car.

As for the paint buy dupli-colour paint caliper kit (brush method). Make sure you clean the calipers really good before you paint em. It does come with brake cleaner and instructions. I did 3 coats 15mins apart. So by the time I was done painting the rear caliper the front one was good to go.

I can't say enough good things about G2 self leveling brush on paint.

I raised up on 4 stands but you have plenty of paint and time. I did three coats and had extra.

Guys I have an 09 sedan. Is it safe to raise the rear and place the jack stands on the two frame bars where the fuel tank between them.

I have painted my brake calipers on my cars multiple times. On my Altima, i've done it twice, i went from stock to blue and then blue to gold. And then on my Accord coupe, i've gone from stock to gold, and then from gold to red. For each car, i've jacked it up on all 4's, and then taken the wheels of, sanded the calipers with 400 grit sand paper, then steamed them until they were bare metal. After that I put 3-5 coats of the Heat treated VHT caliper paint on with 20 minutes between each coat until they had the colour I wanted. I have used the VHT caliper prep but have not noticed a difference in the final result. I let them dry overnight before I drove the car so the paint would cure. On a side note as prep, I masked off all of the side panels and everything that had to potential to get overspray. I will post some pictures soon of them.

Calipers were heat treated painted blue on my nissan, and the rotors were painted black to prevent the centres to rust along with heat treated VHT caliper paint.

And here on my accord, i went from the stock unpainted, to gold, to red when i decided to change the colour scheme that I'm currently going for.

Cool job and all but not my cup of tea. I prefer a clean black look.

Btw why did you paint your brake pad backing? Makes the calipers look a little off

I agree - G2 is hands down the best way to paint your calipers. I used it on my ride 3 years ago and it still looks brand new.
