Need everyone's opinion on my retrofit

I'm coming to a close on my retrofit, and I have some ideas to finish it off. These are very in-depth ideas and may take weeks extra, (I'm a perfectionist).

Now I am doing another retrofit, and as most of you know, and can see by the icon I have, that I am the guy who retrofitted the Audi A4 LED assembly, but I'm moving onto a new one, this one is all unique and I haven't seen it done yet. I guess the 2013 Accord Touring is my inspiration.

The retrofit consists of two spotlight LED's with my custom made shields, painted pearl blue, angled to look a little aggressive, perhaps you could say... shabby chic? Which leads me to the opinion I am asking you my friends... Do you like it or do you think that I should continue concealing? I have some custom shrouds painted satin black, and some velvet. I will be quilting (so-to-speak) the under-bezels and bowls. I was planning on doing just the low beam bowl and the front bezel (the one that attaches to the lens).

So take a look at the photos and tell me... shabby chic (only not in a *** way), or conceal it and make it look like it belongs from the factory. I live in Texas so modifications and cops aren't much of a worry, cops really don't care too much about them if they're not distracting.

Keep in mind, the LED's will be powered 100% during the day with a relay harness, and will be hooked up to the headlights, so when the headights are powered on, the DRL's dim 40% and will become secondary, nothing really special. When signaling they turn off and when signaling is done, they resume.

The HID's are the Morimoto mini D2S (courtesy of TRS) and the bulbs are Philips 85122+ (before the + was removed). I am thinking CBI's but the cost is more than justifiable. Maybe I can sell these and get the CBI's with the offset price.

So what do you think? Sorry for the novel!

Note the switchback LED strip on the front...

As you can see, it isn't just stuck on, it has something in front of it. That is clear acrylic 1/4" rods that I shaped to fit in the headlights curves. Why? Because the LED diodes appear significantly brighter when refracted through the rod.

Finally, the opinion I need from you, see how it shows mounting points and the brackets? Should I leave it as-is? Or, should I conceal it?

P.S - I color modded them too! Had my wife check em out and snapped this of the color on her face! HAHA!

Thanks for your time and input guys!

Great, unique work as usual. I think I remember seeing your current one's build thread on HIDP. Have you considered vacuum forming around the LED projectors if you aren't fond of their mounting being viewable? It's always a nice, classy way of concealing ugly mounting hardware.

That is awesome how you are choosing to wire everything up (100% vs 40% vs shutting off with the switchbacks...) I just hope it doesn't end up looking too busy for an Accord. But I'm sure it will look stellar.

Also, on your note about the CBI's...I can only speak from personal experience, but I bought mine brand new specifically from Germany (not TRS like most do) and I do not regret one penny spent! I absolutely love my Osram bulbs A lot of the Mercedes in Europe and a few other luxury vehicles over there are actually coming with CBI's from the factory! It truly comes down to your own personal taste as to what your eyes desire - the soft yellow-white of a 4,300K bulb (if so, I say stick with the Philips 85122+ if you don't want to spend any extra money...if not, buy the CBI's brother - Osram SVS 4,300K) or a whiter light (then go with the CBI that Osram was able to get to output the same amount of usable lumens (3200-3400) as the OEM 4,300K Philips)

Listed I live in Texas in my novel, lol!

You may not be able to guess it, but I HATE retrofitting, it's just the challenge that entices me.

I'd be interested in seeing what the width/intensity is like on these.

Forgot to add these....

Notice the hot points? Those are POV's that show, so as I roll passed you see different LED's better.

I also forgot to mention that, these switchback LED's are connected directly to my turn signals (which already have resistors and switchbacks for the current turn signals. The 6000K white LED strip stays on with the LED DRL spotlights, and when I signal the white turns off with the DRL's and the yellow side is connected directly to the turn signals. So when I signal, all DRL's turn off, and the amber flashes.

So far everything looks good, very 9th Gen-ish. Once it's all sealed and complete be sure to post pictures including output if you can find a good wall to demonstrate on.

Do you mean the LED spotlights? or the HID's I retrofitted into the high beam bowl?

The LED spotlight. Maybe I read this wrong but aren't you going to be using them as the low beam? or was the highbeam projector converted to lowbeam?

They look great as is but I think they would look perfect if you could conceal the brackets somehow. How would you go about concealing the brackets?

Your wife is a cutie, lucky you!
