Better setup for ipod/mp3 connectivity

Just trowing a random idea out there. Any of you guys modified or added a USB connection to the inside of the storage compartment under the ventilation controls?

I'm just trying to figure out a way I could hide my ipod nano or iphone and not see any wires coming off the OEM usb connector at the bottom...

If we were to re-route that USB connection and put in the compartment, that would be my first choice....

Any ideas/thoughts?

lockeed thats a brilliant idea.
i was a little puzzled why it wasnt in the cubby in the first place.
if mine were not a lease, i would probably do it. (unless i can run the cable between panels - no drilling/cutting?)

I would like the "cover" option more. Like they offer for Russian market but I don't know if it is going to be an option for after market parts for US/Canada models

I attached a small, flat magnet to the back of the iPod Nano and the door flap and got a vert small USB cable and this works perfect...It does not get in the way of anything and looks like it is a feature of the car because it is so clean. and neat. Good Luck with your mod....

Don't lose 2nd screen for audio with nav. The upper screen in the nav is actually larger and will display the audio if you switch it off nav to audio.
