What is wrong with my car
PLEASE HELP me!!!!!! Hey guys i need some help if anyone has experienced this with there 8th gen accord coupes. But I have a 2010 Honda Accord EX-L V6 coupe w/Navi and I'm hearing knocking sounds when i turn left and accelerating at the same time. It does it when i turn right as well but not so bad as the left side. and while im accelerating on the highway i feel vibrations. what could possibly be the issue. Im nervous because this is a leased car and i give it back in a couple of weeks and i have no warranty on the car to cover this issue. I don't want to get hit with excessive wear and tear charges because im planning to get a 2013 Accord Accord V6 same trim. Again PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Yes sounds a lot like CV Joints. Are you sure there isn't a few months or anything left of your warranty?
Unless you burned through 36k miles or you got it late '09, you're covered for 3yr/36k. I would think CV Joints would be covered. Also thinking you're probably not at 36k as you have a lease unless you have a huge allotment. If all else fails and you have no warranty, drive 'er easy. |

If you're at 70,000 miles on a lease you have bigger things to worry about than your CV joint... unless you paid out the nose for an unlimited mileage lease.
![]() It could be a CV joint, but it could also be a wheel bearing. I've had the same problem with three different cars in the past and two times it was a bearing. One other possibility (which was my third time), and the chance is slim, would be a loose bolt connecting your tie rod or control arm. With my STi I had similar symptoms, noise when turning left, vibration while under load beyond 40mph... The mechanics couldn't find the problem, even replaced the front left axle. Well, we figured it out when I was driving through an intersection at 20mph and the bolt sheared, disconnecting my tie rod and axle from the tire and dropping the front corner of my car into the road. Good times... |

So what happened would that my fault if I brought it back like that

What is wrong with my car
The dealer will more than likely deem it your fault.
They look at t like this, you drove the car, you broke it. Sent from my iPhone using AutoGuide.com Free App

It would be on you... While 70,000 is a little early for things like CV joints or wheel bearings to go (depending on the roads in your areas... lots of pot holes drop their life expectancy drastically) it's still considered wear and tear.

Ok so I took the car to pep boys and the mechanic said that there is nothing broken or loose underneath the chassis. He said the car seemed fine. The only reason why I didn't take it to Honda was because they told me it would cost 105 dollars just to look at it and tell me what's wrong which I believe is crazy.

People are still working and being paid by their employer to look at your car. It isn't crazy, can't have something for nothing.
