Is putting HFP kit on 4cyl coupe frowned upon?

I know its not a speed daemon but the kit looks very clean IMO.

Hell No! Even with my V6 I look at it as more of a cruiser than a Sports Sedan. Put it on!

its YOUR car

I say it's YOUR car...you paid how much ever you paid for you to drive it and for you to enjoy it.

It's an extension of you, so enjoy it.

You didn't pay that much for someone else to have their say...

Who cares if someone frowns upon it? there's always some other car that's better and newer...faster and and more eye pleasing...more older and classic...so just enjoy it in the way you want...

Just look close at the kit...my problem is it looks added on...the screw holes show, the cladding looks like it's covering real sheetmetal...I love the kit from across the street, not so much when I get up close....Just inspected one in silver at the dealer a few weeks ago...not for me.......

Ditto, the sides don't even line up properly.

It looks like a really poor afterthought, but for some reason the one Honda designed for the Coupe flows and fits well.

It makes the sedan look boyracerish. Like a Pep Boys sourced kit.

"It's not illegal, just frowned upon... Like masturbating on an airplane...

Thanks a lot bin laden!"

Any time i hear the term "frowned upon," ti reminds me of the movie The Hangover

Anyways, Makes for some nice pictures and looks good from across the street like glen said, IMO.. I don't really like the way you can see the separation between the front kit and the bumper.. Would look hell of a lot nicer if it was molded into the stock bumper...

Frowned upon though? My take on it is who cares what other people think? There will always be someone with opinions but ultimately it comes down to you... Your car, your taste, your decision... if you like it.... screw everyone else.

Good luck with it!

I agree about it looking "added on". Esp when Acura replaces the entire bumper cover and incorporates the pieces into the cover. Looks much better.

Edit: Just went to the Acura site. Looks like the rear is one piece but the front looks tacked on.

Thank you for all of your feedback guys. I've only seen it in pics (coupe) and if I still like it as much in person I'll pull the trigger.

More pictures of the Coupe. I think it looks great on the Coupe. And this blue color is certainly growing on me on both the Sedan and Coupe.

And some pictures of the sedan. The kit looks better on darker colors IMO.
