glove box light: my Sport does not have glove box light. wife complains about it, happy wife is happy life, so here it is:

part:
. push button switch N.C. (normally closed).Ssomething like this: http://compare.ebay.com/like/200858161885?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar
. add-a-circuit (2A and 10A fuse)
. light bulb, or LED. I use this: http://www.superbrightleds.com/more.../moreinfo/led-module-strings/lsmcc-series-constant-current-led-sign-module/945/ . These module already has 3M backing tape so it really easy to use (IMO, these single LED is really bright)

installation:
1. using add-a-circuit to tap the parking-light fuse (pic 2)
2. remove your glove box per instruction from collegehillshonda.com
3. with the glove-box on the table, find a spot to mount the switch.
4. mount light bulb
5. run the wire (see schematic)
6. while you still have the glove box out, test to make sure light works (make sure to have your parking light on since we tap (+) from it)
7. put everything back together, now you have glove box light

Ambient Light (footwell lightning)

instead of paying $100 for a kit, I decide to put together something similar for much less $$$

part:
. add-a-circuit (2A and 10A, or you use the same (+) source from glove-box project)
. same LED as glove-box project (you can string 2,3,4... modules together to really make it glow. I found that one module is plenty bright enough for my taste).

installation:
1. basically just mount the light to wherever you like. Here are the locations that I mount my LEDs (see PIC 3)
2. For the light under driver seat and passenger seat, I run the wire under the door silk (see instruction from collegehillshonda.com on illuminated door silk), then just secure it to the cross bar under seat.

courtesy light: Canadian Sport has them, US Sport does not. So here we go ...

part:
. 2 lense cover, part#34262-TL0-305 (order from my local dealer is cheaper than order online and pay $$$ for shipping).
. 2 T10 sockets (you can find them @local auto part store, or from here : http://www.superbrightleds.com/more...tm_content=T10-SW&utm_campaign=GoogleBaseChild&gclid=CITmzuvjpbUCFWpyQgodCAsAfw)
. 194 light bulb (more on this later)
. add-a-circuit (2A and 20A)

I could not tell which wire is the dome (-) around the fuse box, so I decide to tap to the door switch for (-).

installation:
. open the inner trim of the B-pillar (see PIC-4)
. remove the door switch make it easier to tap into the wire. This will be your (-) wire to your light.
. run that wire back to the fuse box area (I run it under the door silk trim)
. tap into the power-lock fuse (because we want constant power)
. wire up your light and test to make sure the light turn on when you open the door (and shut off when you close the door). then disconnect your add-a-circuit.
. remove your door panel, and remove your speaker.
. run both wires to your door. I make a needle out of a coat hanger so I can poke through the rubber thingy (PIC-1)
. while you have the door panel out, try to fit the socket to the opening. I use hot glue on the back, then some black tape to secure it (door_panel.jpg).
. tidy up your wires, and do the final test. If it still works, then put everything together, then start on the other door.

NOTE: the 5-SMD LED does not fit. I have to use those original 194 bulb from the map light. Suppose if you have the right socket, or a low-profile LED then it should fit.

did your wife want all those lights?! lol. good job on the thread! def will be doing this sometime next week!

Wow this looks awesome. Makes me wish I were more electrical savvy... And that my car wasn't leased...

Very nice write up.

By chance did you look into tapping into the existing wires in the door harness? I know there are two different harnesses for the doors depending on trims, but I was hoping one was a subset of the other, only missing the wires from the harness to the courtesy light.

thnx for sharing.. it my do list now...

I thought about it, but it would take lots of guess work(and splicing wire) to figure out which is which. Another option is to tap into the door silk connector (8 pins) but you still need to do some trouble shooting.

Tap to door switch requires no guess work, plus, since I already remove the door silk to run rear ambient light, so that's how it went.

Running wire from under dash to each door, through the rubber thingy, is a real PITA though.

Thanks for the tutorial Wsport13! Got the same LED's as the OP and here are the pictures:
The pictures make it look slightly brighter than it really is.

Did this the other day has anyone tried to use a dimmer i was thinking about might do it the only one seems bright is front passenger but only when theres sumone sittin there
Haha I was actually going to post something about this. I installed led strips the other week, used a 14.99 dimmer switch I picked up at pepboys.
It has 6 settings including off, and since I tapped it into the parking lights with an add-a-circuit whenever the parking lights turn on it starts off at the lowest setting. The picture I have up is the highest setting, I never really use it unless I'm trying to show off just because its way too bright.

I'll post up more pictures later about my setup and where I placed the dimmer this weekend when I get a chance on a good day.

Please do! I was thinking of doing this for my Coupe and was wondering how to set it up properly. Especially with a constant shifting front passenger side.

Actually I just left some slack with the wires leading to the strip, nothing super long, just short enough to tuck underneath without being seen. I actually got creative with the rear lights because the back fabric of the seats go all the way underneath and chose to velcro them onto the bottom. Worked out really well.

In addition I also took the opportunity to put a light in the glove box also, although mine is connected to the same setup. You can't see it when the glove box is closed and its only on when the parking lights are on.

I ended up using this one from pepboys mainly because of the shape and thickness. I didn't want to have to drill in a mount or anything, just 3M taped the back and end of story.
