Majorty of 9th gen parts are American?

I was at some auto show in Boston last month, and they had a 9th gen V6 model on display. If I can remember correctly, I believe the window sticker said 70% of parts are from the U.S.? I can't remember if it was engine or transmission parts. Perhaps you current 9th gen owners still have the window stickers and can verify this.

The V6 engines for Honda/Acura, globally, are only made in the Arkansas facility, iirc. I'm not sure of the new DI V6 in the Acura RLX, but even the Acura 3.7L V6 is only sourced from there. No more V6 engines from Japan, at least in terms of Honda/Acura.

I wonder why such vital parts of the car - the engine and trans - each originate from opposite sides of the world.

My EXL V6 w/ Nav is 65% US/Canada. 25% Japan. Would guess other 10% is Mexico. Engine and Transmission both US.

I wanna say assembled in USA of Japanese parts.

But maybe small stuff like the interior fabrics, wheels, glass is all made here - I'm just taking a guess though.

Don't know ifnit was mentioned... but I don't remember when a majority of the parts were not made in the usa... as the accord has always been built in the usa... they are just now building a factory in china for that market to keep with the demand in china

well when Honda suffered the eathquake/Tsunami there were parts shortages, car shortages etc. So obviously there are still a lot of Jap made parts
