Gen7 Accord is WIN WIN WIN on Auto XXX

Excellent First time AutoX experience. Most of the time the car was in 2nd and damn it pulls. I got a really good time for my class and for such a heavy car. I ran vs civic, miata, and AE86. lol

First run I didn't know where I was going and had a coach in the car with me 1:30.247
Second run
105.453 (VTEK Kicked in YO) + 1 for hitting cone
Thrid
14.392
4th *best time*
13.855
Last lap
13.968

I could have done better but the rear end kept on breaking loose. So next time for sure TL-S rear sway bar

Friend A3 running 0:58.XXX

My sexy car.

Very fun day. The Top leader was :50.XXX and was done by a Vett

Nice.

Any idea what the slowest time was on the track that day? Just trying to get a point of reference.

that 1:30.xxx I ran was probably the slowest. Everyone ran under 1:10.xxx, but there car were a lot smaller and in different class. A miata in the STS class with me ran 11.XXX. So I am not that far off. It was just the rear end kept breaking loose big time. I am sure I can break the 1 min mark next time around.

lots of miata.. Also a lot of car just did not finish (DNF) They drove the car way to hard, span out, or just couldn't remember the track.

I got a DNF on the first lap. And then Vtec Kicked in YO!!! drop 20 something seconds. lol

Peace Out SuckA!!!!

How in the hell do you memorize a track like that?

Also, was it an event where you just show up and run? Or was there a price? How much?

You get to walk the course before the runs, you do have to memorize the track, that is part of the challenge just like an F1 driver would have.

There are several clubs in the Toronto that hosts these:

http://www.wiredmotorsports.com/pitl/ at Bramalea Go Station
http://www.hadamotorsport.com/ at Hershey Center
http://spda-online.ca/ used to be at Hershey Center too, not sure if they still run these events
http://tfbm.org/ They use to have a couple of events a summer, not sure if they still do

And yes you show up to these events, pay your registriation fee and run, you do need a fairly current Snell approved helmet, but often clubs will have loaners available to newbee and passengers.

The next PITTL is this Saturday July 17th.

Wouldn't a bigger rear sway make the rear end come out even more?

you walk it over and over. I walked it 3 times. Then walked it with the coordinator. Even though I walked it like 4 times on the track it totally different that why I got a DNF on the first run.

I did it with SCCA so it was 45 bucks for non member 5 runs + i have to work a shift to help the other group when they run.

It wasn't that the rear came out more. Its was because of the body roll from the rear sweep the butt back and forth. With a tighter end its going to handle much better. + i only have the stock 13mm. With a 17mm or 21mm its going to be really solid with a chance of Oversteer on a FF. lol

Also a side note. Ebay jpower camber kit is now track approved ^^. I ran them on my car. They did not snap off, bent, or anything.

My tires on the other hand were BBQ.

Brakes were Ceramic Akebono ProAct + Centric Ctek rotors. I also bled the lines and replaced it with Castro LMA syn dot3/4 fluid.

Suspension was Nuespeed Supercup kit with sport springs.

Overall the Gen 7 accord was kick ass.

I need to learn how to launch. I am pretty sure I could have gotten under 1.

FYI Even with thermal gasket and coolant bypass the car was super heat soak. After Even run I open the hood and ran the Heater to cool the engine bay down. Not sure if it worked but w/e love how the car just Chrips the tires in 2nd. People were like wtf? I though honda had no tq. lol

Now what I want to see is some Gen8 on a track ^^. I want to see how the different in weight and power is in there own driving class.

Peace Out SuckA!!!!

Ohh I see. Yeah I was wondering how you were getting the rear to step out on a FWD, especially with stock sways lol
