As long as you know the used one is good and works. Remember, the one on your car is "used" at this point too.

I replaced the ABS Modulator in my 7th Gen Accord 6-6 sedan a few months ago with a used/salvage modulator (bought it from LKQonline for about $150 /w a 1yr warranty), and it works like a champ! $150 sure beats the heck out of $1200!!

Should you? Eh, why not just get a new one?

Is that the VSA Modulator ? VSA, ABS, etc are all intermingled nowadays so I suspect so. Bernardi lists it for $815 (I'm looking at our '12 EX-L parts and it should be the same). $1200 is full list price ! Had to re-read your first post to see if that included labor but it does not.

I would probably go on car-part and find one, or worse case eBay. Only bad thing is if I remember correctly (been awhile since I read the manual about replacing it) but it may have to be programmed once you put it in. Again, I cannot remember 100%, but I think that’s the case. Even if that’s so I found used ones for $115ish. After shipping (usually $20) that will hit you for $135. For a few hundred dollars more you can buy yourself a programmer from amazon and end up doing it yourself, saving money, and get a fancy new tool to own.

Then again I don’t know how mechanically inclined you are. You’ll have to gauge that for yourself . If you decide to do it yourself and have any questions about removing it, programming it, etc feel free to drop me a line.
