  1. 4cyl vs 6cyl springs/struts

    The 6th Generation
Is there a part number on the springs you purchased from the dude? Do you know the manufacturer of the spring? If the answer is yes to both of those, then you can do a part lookup online and find out what vehicle the springs are for. Afterwards, I'd put the springs up for sale at a...
  2. 1999 Honda accord throttle body?

    The 6th Generation
First question here: 1. What engine do you have? Secondly, a throttle body alone won't give you any significant source of power boost. You will need much more than just a throttle body to achieve that.
  3. loss of power

    The 6th Generation
Yes, that hole in the flex pipe could be the loss of power source. Basically, you're letting the exhaust system build additional back pressure and gasses flow back towards the engine, and if the leak is close enough to the manifolds, even back into the combustion chamber. This causes loss of...

  5. 2000 Honda Accord ex 4 cycle

    The 6th Generation
If they aren't direct replacements, they're probably the wrong ones. They should come with little clips on the top and bottom of where they attach in order to secure the hood struts to the hood and fender of the car.
  6. Alternator Engine Bolt Broke. Where do I buy one?

    The 6th Generation
Very similar thing happened to me not too long ago. I ended up getting the bolt and the bracket. Basically, the bolt broke (still inside the threads!) and broke the supporting ear where the bolt attaches to in order to support the alternator. I ended up going to the junk yard and pulling two...
  7. Recommended OBD 2 Sensor

    The 6th Generation
OBD 2 sensor, or Oxygen (O2) sensor? BIG difference there.
  8. Looking for exhaust system

    The 6th Generation
Check out Magnaflow. They have an exhuast for our cars, but it is out of your price range. Not sure who else makes exhaust systems for our cars that isn't what you've already said. I have a Greddy SP2 exhaust, but it's been long discontinued. Not sure what else is out there, TBH. Check out...

  10. Replace brake calipers in pairs?

    The 6th Generation
Calipers, shocks / struts, end links, light bulbs.....anything that there is two of, really, should be replaced in pairs. On what you've mentioned here with the RR having more friction, it will cause the car car to drag there, and on slick winter roads, that may be less than ideal.
  11. Help w/ small leak after broken valve cover bolt was re-threaded at bad angle

    The 6th Generation
Why not use RTV Black? Apply the RTV just around and just beyond the affected area to ensure a good seal and re-apply the valve cover with gasket. Be sure the RTV is still wet when re-applying the valve cover so that the compression will spread out the RTV. You will need to wait 24hrs for it...

I replaced the door lock actuator today. It was actually far simpler than I thought it would have been. Once everything has been peeled back, it's only three screws holding up everything in place. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

  15. Starting problem

    The 6th Generation
I'll have to agree, pull up codes and see what they give you. I'll also have to agree about the knock sensor. Without it, you'll run into other issues. Perhaps all these issues you're having now are stemming from that?
  16. 2000 Accord Door Won't Open

    The 6th Generation
Unfortunately, I haven't experienced it myself nor do I know anyone personally that has gone through it. That being said, I must ask, is it the door that's locked but can't be opened from the outside? Or is the door unable to be opened from both the inside and outside?

  18. 1999 3.0 v6 random bogging at cruising speed

    The 6th Generation
If you have an Android phone, get the Torque Pro app and a BlueTooth OBD-II scanner. It should be $5 (unless it's gone up). Use it to do some live scan data of your car and it should get you information as to what's going on in the data logs.

The fact that you say this and it's barely getting into deep summer is sad. Glad she's getting some miles in!
  20. 1999 3.0 v6 random bogging at cruising speed

    The 6th Generation
IIRC, changing the ECU simply requires having the keys that went with that specific car if the ECU isn't flashed by Honda to go with the existing set of keys. The purpose of this is of course because of the immobilizer. The inconvenience of not flashing the ECU would be that the OP would need to...
