I noticed there's not a general "how do you dip a car?" thread with this stuff. So, I wanted to do a small write-up of FAQs and such about "dipping" parts of, or the entirety of, a car. I will also be covering a few different kinds of "liquid wrap", not just Plasti-Dip. From here on out I...
Has anyone had any experience with repainting the '07 Accord 10-spoke wheels? More specific, I've watched Chris Fix's You Tube video which was very helpful in repairing curb rash, etc. However, does anyone know of a metallic silver paint (rattle can) that matches the stock color the '07 accord...
Hello, today someone (somehow?) scraped up my 2016 Accord Coupe while it was parallel parked. I would like to fix this as it does not look very good.
I am mostly comfortable fixing the bottom ding with the touch-up paint as it is small and out of the way, but I'm not sure about the larger...
Best place to post before & after pics? The "Early Generations" section? Ok. Thx
Hi! My 1996 Accord is in the shop, getting painted. When it comes home tomorrow, I wanted to share a couple of before & after pics. Where would you say the best place on this site (or the 'net?) to post them...
Has anyone actually successfully removed the steering wheel trim pieces on an 8th gen. I have a 2012 V6 Coupe specifically and want to paint the trim. I have found a few articles about the topic but all links pertaining to removal are 404 Not Found.
My big concern is setting off...
Hey guys. Been wondering if any of those ceramic paint coatings actually do what they claim to do? Are they any better than a good sealant and wax? Been trying to find some answers across the internet so I decided why not see if you guys have tried it. Thanks :)
I believe I read somewhere in this forum that the paint on the 9th gen is softer than its predecessors.
My 15 EX-L is just 2 months old and I already have multiple nicks on the hood and front bumper. Do you think the dealer might be able to fix them free of charge?
And is it just me or are...
Hey guys, just got a photo of my engine covers, washerfluid cap, dipstick, and fuse box cover from the paint shop.
Check them out, let me know what you think. The color should match the strut brace.
I'll follow up with more pics when I get them.
So I began to tackle a little project today. Since the purchase of my HFP rims, I've noticed that they weren't reflecting original equipment paint, rather a darker gray matte finish.
I decided to use lacquer thinner and behold the original paint started glowing and reaching out...
I have some paint chips/scratches I am looking to repair on my car and my girlfriends civic using Honda touch up pens. I was wondering if anyone here has experience using them and what is the best practice to apply these touch ups so that they may come out smooth or to ensure the paint is...
Scratch on the front bumper, passenger side. My first significant scratch on the body paint of the car. She's not even a year old yet! :(
Paint is scratched off to a black rubbery feel and white scuff lines below and around it.
Took it to a body shop and they said it's gonna cost $500. They...
Does anyone know where I can get black paint to match exactly the black matte finish of the plastic dashboard trim around the radio, navi screen trim, pocket below the radio, etc. I am doing some fabrication and need to match that matte black finish. Thanks.
The chrome on the tail lights was really getting to me... Now I just hope I don't get too carried away with the spray can. Nothing like spraying away on a new car :paranoid:
Here is some before and after pics of my tail light spray paint mod.

After tons of research I have finally been able to paint my brake calipers. This is not an official DIY, but I can certainly try my best to help anyone with questions. Otherwise, just enjoy.
This was a 2 day project.
About 80% of the total time was prepping/sanding. I used manual wire...
