hi,
i am having a problem with opening my gas filler door. it started this morning when i tried to get gas.
so far what i have done is:
-reached into trunk behind carpet and disconnected the cable(so that i could get gas)
-taken off the assembly inside the car to see if cable is connected.

what i have found is that the cable at the release is fine, but at the assy the cable seems to be uncrimped. ( the retainer is not holding the outside of the cable.)

i have attached a picture of it.

what i want to know is, how do i fix it/ replace it?

If you can, take a picture of the gas door itself. I don't know what the accord has but on my other car it was a v shaped spring that pushed the door out when you pulled the lever. Look at the pivot point of where the door and the frame of the car meet and see if a hinge is broken.
