Good morning,

Recently had new radiator installed ($$$$)
Was able to pass emissions last Tuesday but cel light is back on.
Code appears on Friday lean 02 p1164
-- faithful with quarterly oil changes

Is this worth putting out more $$$ for?
How much longer will engine go in terms of miles?

:dunno: How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?

If it's been well taken care of, then I don't seen why it couldn't run for another 250K. Maybe it'll even reach 1 million miles.

P1164 is the air fuel sensor, a.k.a. Oxygen Sensor, (sensor #1) and isn't that expensive (part is about $150) or hard to change out. You could probably change the sensor yourself if you have the tools and are pretty handy.

It's not much different than this

The sensor (#1) is located to the front of the catalytic converter.

If this is a 4 cylinder 2001 Accord the primary O2 sensor is even easier to change. Just open the hood and its located on the exhaust manifold right behind the radiator fans. A new Denso sensor #234-4620 is about $50 from Amazon and other places. More $$ at the dealer.
