Well last month i took in my car for its first oil change and while doing the oil change i asked them to take a look at my brakes because it was making a weird noise. Like a grinding noise. When i got the car back they said they couldnt duplicate the noise so i just said w/e and left it at that. Well 3 days ago i got a call from American Honda Corporate asking me to take a survey, and when they asked me if my dealership had fixed all the problems i said no and said they didnt fix the brakes, well today i got a call from the dealership asking me to bring in my car to get the brakes checked out. and guess what NO MORE GRINDING NOISE, they replaced the pads and the resurface the rotors. and lubricated everything. PLUS i asked them to check out the rattle from the interior and they also got that fixed. So its highly recommended to take those survey. Dealerships are scared of them!! American Honda also sent out a letter of apologizes and some coupons for free oil change and stuff.

Nice...very nice.

good deal man.

Does it matter if you take the car to a different dealer to get its first oil change than the dealer you bought it from?

Well i bought my car at Fremont Honda, but i live in San Leandro and do my services there. and i got my oil change there and also got my brakes fixed there. So yea i think it does matter. cause they called me. and ask for an appointment.

you know; the freaken dealers are the worst, or i may say, the service managers, i think they get a ...but once you get american honda involved, then they start being nice and cooperative. Good for you man...big ups

Great news how Honda assured your satisfaction.

I just posted a new thread regarding info floating around on braking in new brakes. Maybe it can prevent this from happening again for you. (Not sure if it has any validity to it, though.)
