Hi,

I apologize if I'm repeating a previously answered question...

It's my first time owning a 2010 Accord with large 17" stock tims/tires. I would like to purchase some steel rims for winter along w/ winter tires. Is it possible to get away with 16" or 15" steel winter rims? What size tires would you suggest?

Back in the day, I used to be really good at this type of thing...any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Where are you located? I have a set of 16' steelies with Continental ExtremeWinterContact tires, that I am trying to get rid of. They only have about 2 maybe 3 months of driving on them from last season. I'm in PA, but not lookin to ship them, so if your in the Tri-state area and are interested, hit me up with a PM.

I have an 08 accord sedan and just bought tires/wheels from tire rack. I went with 16" steel wheels and the Conti extreme winter contact tire 215/60R16. Toss in TPMS sensors and the ATEQ tool and it was a bit spendy but after slipping and sliding last winter, I'm ready.

If you are in the market for new winter wheels and tires I'd highly recommend looking at the Mono Winter2. These are a cast aluminum wheel (much lighter than steel), they are powder coated (as opposed to painted) they have a concave face to reduce the chance of chips and scratches when running chains and they have a simple design that is easy to clean.

Here's a link for more details, these are available in 16" for your accord:
