Actual deal...car purchased today. Touring list for $34,675 purchased it for $31,979 plus tax....no other fees except $1.25 tire tax in my State. Had a trade in against this price, got reasonable trade in value. Happy camper. I am not an employee in legal sense, but I do new car trade drives for dealer...have purchased over 18 cars from this dealer, most before I did any contract work for them....always treated fairly.

Just drove home with my new '18 Touring, in Champagne and Ivory leather... looks FANTASTIC.

I put out an internet "probe" via Edmunds dot com, and started getting Atlanta Honda internet salesemen out the wazoo. EVERYONE was "it's so new...only MSRP"...except for ONE dealer in Eastern Atlanta. "We have your exact car in the color you want...and I'll give it to you for invoice." I got a PDF of the final "out-the-door price with invoice amount, doc fees, and taxes. Clean car before it got pinstriping, edge guards, mudflaps or $500 "nitrogen" in the tires. Clean deal.

We drove in this morning around 10am, and left about five hours later with an incredible car at an incredible price.

Smart dealer. He cut through the “MSRP” noise and got you in the door with an invoice price offer... and then nailed you with high fees. You think you got a great deal and the dealer still made a lot of money. All good.

Let's keep this thread data oriented, and not "wow, did you get nailed" or "I am a superior negotiator, and my deal was better". The deal we agreed to was a "win-win" for both of us. Life is too short to haggle over chump change (at least for me with cancer).

I was going to get the Ex-L but none are available in my area. ended up getting the 2.0 today and I am so happy with it! IT IS SO WORTH THE MONEY!! gps is nice and fluid, Headlights are brilliant, wheels are fabulous, and honda link app is sweet! most of all the parking sensors are super useful!
