Title is sort of it.

Just ticked over the 3 year mark and allegedly the brake fluid will turn into a warklock soon. (digress: I swear my last Accord went a decade w/o changing the brake fluid ... /digress).

Procedure or video would be nice...

Haven't decided if I'll farm this out to a garage yet.

Yes, sucked all the old stuff out and replaced with DOT4. Same process for any car..Use your preferred method of extraction, then bleed all 4 starting from Rear passenger, rear driver, front pass, front driver.

I would love to hear more input from folks on this...I'm also at just 3-3 1/2 years with my '18 and only about 27K on the clock.....and I can't EVER remember any of my other Hondas needing a brake fluid change so soon.

Yep, you can go years without changing fluid...
The issue is brake fluid is hygroscopic..it absorbs moisture/condensation over time.
What's the problem? Who cares??
As the moisture accumulates, aside from the master cylinder and brake lines..is it gets into the brake calipers and causes corrosion within the piston walls and the cylinders themselves..which can, in turn, lead to calipers freezing up.

And that's why most manufacturers recommend brake flushes, every three years or so.

My 2018 hit 50K miles and I just got the change brake fluid reminder. At 27K, it's kind of early but you may be driving in hilly areas?

I was one of the ones who thought changing brake fluid is a scam, like many I drove older cars and NEVER changed brake fluid. But Now I am dealing with a possible bad ABS module on my sons 10 years old civic. Original fluid and the module is $1050 for the part alone..
I did flush out the system and it seems to have fixed his but after seeing this I will have my 2021 accord done every few years

I purchased a Motive bleeder, read a number of our group's posts, and was able to bleed it myself. It probably took longer being my first time...but I felt 10 feet tall afterwards......AND I have a new tool to use when I tackle this on wife's CR-V and kids' old TSX. Thanks to all!
