Hey guys.. sorry haven’t been on in a long time. So I have had the H&R Springs on for a while.. man they are great. They went from prototype to actual production Sorings so far no sag after months of having them on. I did notice though the production springs dropped the rear down just a little more. I would say they are 1.3F/1.4R I have to get a tape measure to find out exactly.
Rides smooth, with no rubbing on the 20” wheels. I know people are talking more about the eibachs. When I lived in California, those were so great. Now living up in the PNW, H&R seem to rule the roost up here.
I can say this much, don’t hot a lot hole or a man hole hard, your car will let you know you did!! Ha
It’s about 2.5” drop over OEM in the front with only body adjustment but minimal spring preload/compression.
In the rear I have the springs maxed and the body maxed and it’s almost 3” drop. Won’t go any lower.
Running on 19x9.5 35 on 245/40/19
Rubs pretty bad in the fronts when turning. About 4mm clearance to fender. Rear doesn’t rub and has about 7mm clearance. No rubbing in any other suspension parts. Not sure about ride comfort or shock travel yet. No fender rolling. Lost some front fender paint when I cut the wheel to test. ?
Tomorrow will adjust ride height back up about .75in in the front and about 1in on the rears. Maybe more. It’s too low at the moment.
Side note: couldn’t get any hand tools to fit to get the rear Eibach camber arms installed and ran out of daylight will try again tomorrow.
Side note 2: glad these came with longer end links, no way the OEM will fit back on.
Any more updates on the KSports? I was looking at coilovers yesterday, and these hit my radar. $850 seems reasonable. This is a daily driver, so not looking for crazy adjustments, just looking for a better ride height/better handling. Is a camber kit necessary? How'd they settle in? Would you recommend them?
If anyone is from Canada, I found these H&R springs from essex distributors, wanted something a little more lower than the eibach pros but nothing too crazy. Free shipping in Canada plus they have a 15% off promo code right now. Here's the link http://www.essexdistributors.com/
For anybody that knows who AMR is they have released there 10th gen coilover system. I cant even explain how great AMR is. It's a system you need to install and drive with to understand what you are getting and paying for. Since there induction over 9 years ago they have never had a blown damper come back and after owning 2 previous sets on a 91 civic and a rsx I will be purchasing soon with camber plates. As all there coilovers they are built to order according to your wants and needs and various spring rates you can choose from hyperco springs are standard or you can upgrade to Swift springs. Full custom and built in USA
I have nothing but good things to say about AMR as well.
I installed my AMR coilovers with Swift springs on my 2016 Accord touring coupe at 65K miles and they have only exceeded the stock ride comfort of my car.
I dropped my car about 1.5-2" all around and they have extremely comfortable. The 8 way damping makes a huge difference with each click, I am running 3/8 in the front and 4/8 in the rear.
Initially I was concerned about the "special" touring dampers my car was equipped with, but I have already junked those parts and do not plan on going back.
Anyone that owns a 10th gen touring might require an ADS bypass module or it could trip the sensor.

Pros:
great adjustability in ride height. Front camber adjustment ok.
Cons:
No way to adjust toe with camber. The more aggressive the camber the more the toe goes inwards. Creates horrible high speed steering issues.
Front sway bar will rub on control arm if too low.
Front Dampeners started leaking about 5 months in.
Toe/camber problem leads to tire wear issues. Expect a set of tires to last 6 months tops. Wear will be uneven side to side. Rotation not possible.
Rear camber kit a must. Toe is also bad in rear, not much adjustment possible.
I’ve reverted back to stock, two different shops I went to couldn’t get the toe issues fixed without putting the camber back to 0/-.5.

Wow thanks for the insight. I will stay away. Are you going for another set of coilovers from another company? Interested to see what works well with our cars.

I installed my H&R kit about 2 weeks ago. No need at all for a camber kit in my opinion. I did alignments and suspension install on race/show/street cars for years with my previous employer.
You definitely want to get an alignment after install because angles will change, but only toe was out of factory spec for me. Camber was close, with right rear being technically out of spec at -2.5°. That said, I wanted a bit more negative camber and toe is what murders tires.
I couldn't be happier with ride height and driveability with the H&R kit. Although it did bug me a bit that the rear springs had the logo stamp upside down (these springs only go on one way).
Had H&R OE springs (0.75" drop f & r) on for about 4,000 miles. Just sold them because I missed the touring dampened suspension. Did install and removal myself. 4 hours each way. Here's some pics...
Glad to see your post b/c looking for a spring that might work with the touring: : When you had the h&r's on they caused the damping to switch off or something else? Also wondering how (rough?) the ride was when you had the springs on. Thx

I think I've daily driven so long (20+ yrs) on coils w/little to no wheel well gap, I honestly feel little difference when in Sport mode on my Touring. I'm torn between H&R springs and coils at the moment.
