I have a Sport 2.0T MT and I recently drive 800 miles to visit my parents. The seat was comfortable for the first 9-10 hours of driving, but man, my butt was done after that!

I have two questions…
1. Are the seats in the higher end models more cushioned?
2. Can the seats be swapped into other cars?

Thanks! Did a search but didn’t find anything.

So, its not only me that thinks the bottom cushion leaves much to be desired. The 9th gen had the same issue. Then again, I had 634m miles on it too.

Btw, any issues RE: thigh support over longer drives for you? That's another issue I have been having.

Buy a cushion for long trips. What are you going to do, replace the seats?
Every trip I make is long, so yes.

I'm curious to see what direction OP goes...

As someone that has owned a 2019 Accord Sport 2.0t and now a 2021 Touring... I can tell you that the leather seats in the Touring are much, much more comfortable than the seats in the Sport.

As for the possibility of changing out the seats in your Sport to seats from a higher-end Accord, that's not so simple. There are sensors and airbags to worry about that might cause problems. Plus, I'd imagine that a complete seat swap would be quite expensive even without worrying about sensors and airbags.

If you have lots of money and time, anything is possible... but otherwise I'm not sure how practical such an endeavor would be.

Is the leather finally supple and giving, or still rock hard like it's been for forever?

What additional sensors would there be on a higher-end seat versus a seat from the Sport trim?

Get a high end gel cushion, it is what I use in my 9th. gen.
I didnt think your 9th gen seats caused you issues. Mine was wore out after all the miles, but still serviceable.

What gel cushion did you use?

Honestly, my discomfort isn't so much with the cushioning. I more so want a sportier/bucket style seat (kind of like the recaros in the old evos).
Like the 9th gen, the 10th gen doesnt have quite the padding I would like for driving 4k miles/week.

I was referring to things like the occupant sensor in the passenger seat and the airbag sensors. The Touring trim also has stuff related to the vented seat feature that comes on that trim. The EXL trim has the leather without the vented seat stuff.

I find the leather in my Touring to be very comfortable and supportive. It's certainly not Buick or old-school Cadillac-level of supple... but I find it fitting considering the Accord's more sporty nature compared to some others in the class.

The original poster could test drive a new or used 2018-2021 Touring or EXL to see how they like it to see if it's worth the trouble.

If OP is set on doing a seat swap, I’d suggest looking into the TLX from the advance trim. I haven’t even sat in it, but I’ve heard that it’s very comfortable. I believe it, cuz an RLX I test drove had easily the most comfortable I’ve ever sat in, period.

With that said, seat swaps probably isn’t that easy if safety is a concern. I’d look into aftermarket leather / cushion first before doing that.

My opinion only, but I’ve actually found the leather seats in the Accord to be mostly great, comfy but not fantastic. The 8th gen was a bit harder, but still very good. The leather on 9th gen got a bit softer, more supple yet still supportive, just like the 10th gen. That being said, unless the OP is a Honda master tech or enjoys DIY projects like this, I’d probably just go ahead and simply trade it for a model with leather in this current messed up market as it’s probably not going to be worth the OP’s time, effort and money needed to just get another Accord leather seat by doing the swap.

A good auto interior shop might be able to help you with this. When I had a Toyota Avalon, 4th generation, there were a lot of complaints about the seats on the ToyotaNation forum. Especially the Limited with ventilated seats.
There were a lot of posts about various cures. Some owners posted their own reupholstery fixes and some left it to upholstery shops.

IMHO they are too narrow. But seems all cars are like that..I even debated buying a pilot since we drive on long trips but the cloth Pilot seats weren't a lot better...The leather Pilot was nice but almost double then my sport cost

I find the Touring (leather) drivers seat bottom ok, but not that good after a 4 hour trip. Very firm and kinda lumpy. You can feel the seams. Seat comfort and the road tire noise are my main complaints but there are many more things I like just fine. It's a great overall package.
I sat in the a 2022 Civic and immediately noticed how much better the seat felt, not sure what trim it was.

My wife drives a 2019 Accord EX-L and I hate the seats.
