What do you want to see in the 11th Gen that is missing or you don't like in the 10th Gen?

10.5 gen is probably going to give you a little more bells and whistles. What is the 10th gen missing?

Well I'd like to see more standard features especially tech and higher quality interior in the LX price range. I'd like to see more Mercedes type features trickle into the Touring and EX trim although Honda is pretty good about weeding out the less necessary ones. Quietness, good stereo, larger intuitive responsive touchscreen, improved Apple Carplay/Android Auto that can play Amazon Video/Netflix/Youtube and a web browser when parked. Ability to add your car to your cell phone data plan like an iPad so you don't need your phone with you say if someone else is driving your car.
I'm not sure I like the pop up tablet on the 10th Gen. The integrated screen looks better in the Pilot. These are minor things but I'd still like to see them.

Carplay that plays video? Why in the world would that be a good idea?

The LX is the base model for a reason. Cheap entry price, and reasonable amount of base features.

I much prefer the pop up tablet in the 10th gen to our '16 Pilot. The embedded screen is at a weird angle and constantly suffers from glare. That's one of my least favorite things about the whole vehicle. I think the tablet style screen on the Accord and CR-V look fantastic, and allow the dash to still flow properly without subjecting the screen to direct sunlight.

Waiting in your car when parked. Very convenient.

Every generation gets new features in the EX and bumps the previous gen EX features to LX it seems like to try to dangle a carrot in front of you to buy the EX. I am hoping the 11th Gen LX will have more features that I want than the 10th without bumping the price up too much.

This one is subjective but I think it looks too German/ugly.
If my crystal ball was that good I would be a retired billionaire. Who can predict five years into the future? When the 9th generation was introduced in 2013 who would have thought that Apple CarPlay would be an innovation that was installed in the mid cycle refresh. Who could guess that Honda Sensing would be standard in the 10th generation when it wasn't even a twinkle in Honda's eye in 2013 and became an option in the mid cycle refresh? Who could have guessed that the Accord would only be available with a four cylinder turbocharged engine? Or, that the Coupe would be discontinued, or that the MY would not be discontinued.

I don't have a clue.

This is more of an Apple/Google issue I think....I don't think the various manufacturers that support those platforms have any say over the interface/functionality beyond the plug-in port location.
double wishbones, exhaust header, 7000+ rpm redline...

I am considering buying a new Accord over the next few months. Is it in the upcoming 2022 model year or the year following that that the new redesign will come? Thanks
If all goes according to usual model cycles since 1998, the 2023 will be a new model.
There have been exceptions before, but every generation from the 6th on up has been a 5 model year run.
Yep, if everything goes like the recent history, it shall be 2023.
But personally, I hope sales shoot up this year and the Accord does really well in sales again in 2022. Otherwise, it’s hard to say what we will see or when we will see the next Accord, if sales hover around 200k mark again like last year.
2023 most likely. They could always delay though if sales remain pretty good.
The next gen Civic is coming as a 2022 model year. I don't think the next gen CR-V will launch as a 2022 model year because Honda tends to stagger its new generation of cars year by year. I feel that the next Accord might be pushed back to the 2024 model year with everything that has been going on. I'd love to be proven wrong though!

Just remember, buying a late car from a generation generally gives you a more reliable car than buying early in one. It might be less exciting, not having the latest features or styling, but by the time a manufacturer gets to the third year or so of manufacturing a model, they've really dialed in the quality control and usually ironed out all the kinks in reliability.

Something to consider.

Honestly, it seems the next generation for Honda won't be too radically departed from the current Accord gen. The 2022 civic is getting a new dash but also the 10th gen accord infotainment, along with almost accord like frontend styling. They also appear to be continuing to invest in "tech upgrades" into the accord each year which still points in them keeping it as their current tech base.

And of course that point above is quite important. Honda's first and second year of a generation really aren't that great.
If anything it's the best time to buy 10th gen.

Many thanks to all of you for those helpful comments. I appreciate encouragement to buy now as opposed to waiting for the next generation.

Yeah you are likely going to be waiting a LONG while for the next generation.
You must also remember with an all new gen. Comes bugs and quirks that need to be worked out over time. Mid cycle refresh especially like first year 2021. The bugs etc are pretty much worked out and things more fine tuned. Perfect time to buy now if you can.
