Something about that front end design feels Tesla-inspired to me.
I wonder how much CAFE had a hand in it.Plenty of spy shots out there, including blueprints that leaked from Japan. It looks like Ford Taurus and Volvo S90 had a baby. That isn't a bad thing, just a fact. The bad thing is (depending on who you are) is Honda forcing hybrid to every vehicle. When the refreshed 2021 Accord came out, every single reviewer, YouTube and printed magazines was given the Hybrid Touring trim to review. Not one ICE-only. I am fairly certain the 11th Gen will be 50%+ hybrid lineup. ICE-only will be reserved for "peasant" trims only and I'm guessing the 2.0T 10AT will only be available on the Touring trim and for 3 years only. MMC will more than likely kill off the 2.0T and will keep 1.5T on cheap trims and the rest will be hybrid exclusively. I'm quite happy I bought my 2.0T 6MT in 2019 before markups and before they got cancelled. With just few upgrades (Eibach sway bars + Acuity shift kit) I fixed two biggest problems with the car (cornering/highway speeds stability and shifter feel). For the first time in 20 years, I couldn't be less excited for the upcoming Accord. This coming from someone who owned every gen since 1994.
My guess is a lot. I met someone in 2018 that worked (or maybe still works) for EPA who told me that EPA gives bonuses, credits and all kinds of perks to car manufactures who reduce emissions. He told me Toyota was leading the way by having two thermostats in their cars. One goes to work to almost instantly warm up the emissions components on the car (the warmer the engine, the less emissions) and second thermostat is the one that generates heat in the cabin.I wonder how much CAFE had a hand in it.

Don't forget that Honda has committed to going zero emissions by 2040. If they're going to get there, they need to start now and that's what they're doing.I wonder how much CAFE had a hand in it.
What's wrong with hybrids? It's where the industry is going. But even GM, who has said they want to be all EV, won't be doing so for a good 20-25 years. So I'm sure the car you want will be available for quite some time.Plenty of spy shots out there, including blueprints that leaked from Japan. It looks like Ford Taurus and Volvo S90 had a baby. I like the new Civic as well. When I first saw the inside and outside, I thought they were kind of plain. But I've grown to like it just for that. It's not over-designed like the last gen.I really like the way the current Civic hatchback looks - if it came with the same engine/trans as my 2019 2.0, I'd be really tempted to trade mine in for one.
I think given the new release date, we might as well just wait for the official info / photos to come out by November. That's two months earlier than I was expecting. I guess they already had something in the works by the time of MMC, so that's why so few changes were made at that time. It's kinda crazy though. Normally, at this time, we would have lots of "leaked" spy shots by now, instead of what we've got - only the teaser pics and patented photos. Looks like Honda did a great job keeping things under wraps this time lol.Feeling really good right now. Ordered an Integra back in March, didn't take delivery when I got to test drive one in May as it wasn't what I expected. Ordered a '22 BMW 330e xDrive back in June, when it was nearly October, and it hadn't arrived yet, I asked out, and the salesman was able to sell it at an even higher price, so I got my deposit back. I had thought we weren't getting a new Accord until '24. So happy I'm still in the market. Perhaps, I just don't like the even numbered Gen's. The 11th gen looks awesome. Come on Honda, give a Manual option on the 2.0T, just one more time, pretty please? Give us the 2.0T with the manual from the Civic R and an LSD while we're at it!
I'm in a similar boat. I've had at least an Accord from each gen. since the 7th gen in 2006. Not necessarily that the 11th g won't be good. It will be awesome and be much improved in some ways, I'm sure. But the 10th gen. is already a great car and still has a lot of usable life for me. So there's no point in thinking about updating (at least, not yet lol).Plenty of spy shots out there, including blueprints that leaked from Japan. It looks like Ford Taurus and Volvo S90 had a baby.
