Hey guys, I'm looking to get snow tires for my wife's 7th gen V6. Can I put 15in wheels on this car or is 16in the smallest size I can go with? Tire Rack says that 16in is the smallest but I thought I'd confirm on here.

Thanks in advance!

V6 auto yes, V6 manual no

@mobiless2: Correct me if I am wrong, but:

V6 auto yes
V6 Sedan manual yes
V6 Coupe manual no

....only the V6 6-speed COUPE has the larger front brake calipers which would not work with 15" wheels. The V6 6-speed SEDAN has the regular-sized front brake calipers.

Sorry, yes it's an auto. I wish it were a manual...

Any recommendations on tire size for a 15in wheel?

A 195/65/15 would have almost the same dimensions as the 215/50/17 from the 2006-2007 model, which would keep the speedo 99.5% correct. If you have a 2003-2005 model, then a 195/70/15 would have almost the same dimensions as the 205/60/16.

It's a matter of caliper clearance.

Can't comment on the 15" but I have 16" RSX rims with snow tires on my V6.

Do 15in wheels look funny on this car? Anyone have a picture of their car on 15in wheels? Is it worth it to just get the 16in wheels?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm pretty much an expert mechanic on an E46 BMW but a total n00b on this Accord. Going to have to learn more about Hondas though since I sold the BMW and bought a 2008 TL Type S.

If the price difference isn't huge, I'd get the 16 inch snow tires/wheels. 15s would look a little funny on a 7th gen Accord, but it won't be a huge deal (the DX model came with 15 inch rims stock).

Here's what 15s would look like:

^ Difference is $90, I might as well get the 16's.

Planning on getting 16in steelies with Blizzaks.

Will buy another set for the Acura in the summer/fall. I have another car that dominates snow storms (98 Ford Expedition) so I don't really need to get another set of tires for the Acura just yet.
