hi everyone

i have a 1997 accord. it has a 'prime' (clifford?) car alarm that has been installed since the day i bought the vehicle. at least that's what the sticker on the windshield says, and the key fob (has 2 buttons, a '1' and '2')


I believe the car alarm is in valet mode because the red LED is constantly lit.

How do I get the alarm out of valet mode? There's a toggle switch under the dash (rather than a push button)

I have tried: open the car door, wait 1 second, arm, wait 1 second, disarm, wait 1 second, arm again, but it didn't take it out of valet mode


any other ideas??

ah okay

turns out i needed to turn the car on, and immediately flip the toggle switch back to another position

car alarm working again
