I drove over a deep puddle after last night's rain storm and my 1997 honda Accord completely shut off about 20 yards after driving over it. I could'nt start it back up. I tried to start it again the next day after drying up and still won't turn over. Any clue as to what could be the problem? Could there be water in my exhaust? Any comments and advice would be much appreciated, thanks.

Pull the plugs, then try and crank it over with the starter. You'll probably see a fountain out the cylinders. Is the air filter completely soaked with water.

If you pull the plugs and it still refuses to crank, try and put a socket with extension on a large ratchet on the crank pulley bolt. If it won't spin over easily, you've probably destroyed the engine. It'll have bent or broken connecting rods.
