Trannny maintenance reminder came on at 31k miles. Took the car pretty how much everywhere. Philly, Maine, NYC twice or 3x a month and drive 260 miles each week for work. Bought the car December 2019 with 22 miles on the odometer. Around mid 20k miles car felt some hesitation shifting to 1st and 2nd gear.

Got lucky with this price cause I called 3 other Honda dealer in NJ and they quoted me close to $300 for this tranny service. Was also reading thread in here that some people are having the same problem w/ the 2.0 engine. Maybe its normal? But I don’t like that jerky shifting feeling. Might trade it for a 4runner or the new TLX Type S. Still have the problem after the service. What you guys think?

$127 is a great dealership price.

$300 is way too much.

Agree that $127 is a great dealership price using all Honda parts. Alternatively, to DIY it ; probably $55 in parts ($44 + $10, considering shipping 5 qt liquid), Your time: 10 min youtube research, 1 hour to crawl under car to drain/fill/remove dirty fluid, another hour to recycle fluid at local auto parts store (30 min trip each way + the fun of handling 5 qts of dirty fluid + clean up since no doubt some spilled). $55 parts + 2 hours of your rare spare time @ $35/hr = $125
To me, $127 is an absolute bargain.

Ouch, $7.39 for a washer (11107-PWA-300) an 400% markup from 11107-PWA-300 - Genuine Honda Washer, Sealing (24MM)
$3.25 for the drain plug, (90471-PX4-000) an 84% markup from 90471-PX4-000 - Genuine Honda Washer, Drain Plug (18MM)
5x $15.00 for the fluid (08200-9015A) an 83% markup from 08200-9015 - Genuine Honda ATf-Type 2.0

Labour at $34 is very reasonable to me. They're clearly making the majority of money on the parts the cost of which would be $44.41 before tax/shipping.
Online OEM part stores, which are usually run by bigger dealers, usually sell their parts at wholesale prices. If you go to a dealer physically, they will charge you retail prices for the parts.

If you are just buying the parts from them, you could try and ask them to match the prices you see online and they will at least knock a good chunk of the price off, sometimes enough to make local shopping better due to the shipping cost of buying online. YMMV, of course, since I usually buy aftermarket fluids(not Honda ATF though, since Honda automatics are pretty fussy about fluids), and it probably won't work if you are letting them do the service.

And also, why does OP need a new drain plug? Was the old one damaged? Those are reusable.
