Dude, HUGE congrats!!!! That is un-effin-real. If your next honda isn't on the house, I'll have some disappointment. This is the best advertisement for the v6 accord. Oh wait.......In all seriousness, you should definitely document the teardowns that will follow on youtube, I'll definitely be interested to see. My accord is 600KM's from hitting 300K KM's and It feels like I'm just breaking it in at this point in comparison to your achievement/milestone. If Texas wasnt so damn far from Canada I'd love to come up and check the thing out, but life, work, family and so on. Congrats again man!

We've been brainstorming some potential reasons for Honda's lack of interest, and this is a good point here. It's all pure speculation, but our group has been wondering if Honda is avoiding promotion of an ICE vehicle in the wake of their all-electric 2040 goal. Now we can add the V6 engine to the list. Nonetheless, it'a a great way to showcase Honda's engineering capabilities, and there'd still be reason for them to celebrate!

Anyway, congrats again Justin! I had a great time celebrating the milestone with you and the group!

As much as it crushes me to agree, I do so. The ICE is an absolute marvel, i mean, look at the very thread that we're talking about, and what this car has achieved. but still, it is a shame that they even don't offer a coupe anymore. id be less disappointed if it was only the engine choice, but same goes for the civic, the market just isn't as large as it used to be. Just a real shame that they made an enthusiast driven car, and they're taking it away from us because only enthusiasts bought them. "oh our target market bought this car, let's take it away from them". Business is business, the world just sucks lmao.

It still amazes me that Honda isn't all over this. They are a brand known for reliability, at least recognizing it in a special way would be sick. I'll see how deep my buddies old Honda roots go, hopefully a few of his former coworkers still work for them. Is the dealership you bought the car from still around?

My wife contacted Pensacola (FL) Honda the other day and talked to a woman in sales. She was really excited. She was going to share the story with her manager. She also looked up and they still have the sales paperwork on file from when my wife bought it in August 2003. Very cool.

I gave "praise" feedback on the Honda corporate website this past Tuesday. As normal, I received an automated case #. That means someone is looking into it and I'll get back some type of response.

Thanks for caring and talking to your friends about it. That's really nice of you.

Congratulations man. That is awesome. I feel like I just witnessed a moment in history.

A real testament to the J series V6.
Amazing! Congratulations! Definitely a testament that if you take care of your cars, they will last!

I have a 10g 2019 Accord Hybrid Touring with 131,995 miles as I type this at an In N Out line. Bought new in May of 2020. Hoping mine will last as long as yours has!

We did it! On Saturday March 11th, 2023, our 2003 Honda Accord EX V6 6spd (6-6) became the first V6 Honda car or truck to reach one million miles. I drove the car from TX to Gatlinburg, TN to hit the milestone and celebrate with family and friends. @DerekWildstar @stiller fan and @Ash051 brought their Accords and gave me a very special gift to commemorate the occasion.

Here is the video of it as it happens:

We did this in the Smoky Mountains National Park. It was a challenge to set a date and get my miles to the point where I could hit the million with everyone waiting on me.

Here's the group before we headed up to Newfound Gap:

The odometer freezes at all 9s. The trip odometer rolls back over to zeros.

They rolled out the red carpet for the car:

Tim, Josh, and Ash got this picture framed for us. It's a great shot Tim took of the car when we met in NJ last Sept. This is awesome! Thank you all so much!

You can check out my car's thread on here which has all kinds of details about the journey, maintenance, repairs, and mistakes along the way:
