I saw the local news station's story on Facebook a couple of hours ago and thought, "I'm pretty sure that's the silver Accord from DA!"

What a great accomplishment, I have been absent from the site the past few weeks and am just catching up today. What a Rock Solid Engine the 3.0/3.5L V6. Hope mine goes that far too, although I see more 10th Gens now a day with higer mileage than my car does.

Its crazy how long my car just sat during the Lockdowns and now with working from home 99% of the time....I find it hard to add miles!
How did you do with this car during lockdowns? Did you still drive alot? Do you travel alot with the car? Id be curious as to a breakdown of Leisure Vs. Work Vs Trips as to your mileage breakdown.

Thanks and welcome back!
In 2020 and 2021, I drove 147k each year. I had a letter from my company stating I was essential medical transportation. I got pulled over a couple of times because of curfews during lockdown. That letter allowed me to be let go. Crazy times.

I have no route now, but am still doing deliveries. I drove 600 mi yesterday, but then had nothing today. For the past few years, around 90-95% of the miles driven were either commuting to work or doing deliveries. I'm trying to throttle back some on deliveries and start doing other things. My HDay trip next month will be around 3,300 miles.

Damn, makes me feel bad about thinking my 900 mile round trip wont be worth it. For me its either this or the vintage weekend at Road America for my spring/summer trip and I already booked RA...

So which would you rather be driving - a T-38 or an Accord? :)
The jet was definitely fun and I'm thankful I had the opportunity to do it for so long. Ejection seats aren't comfortable (well neither are my 7th gen seats) and I no longer have hip pain like I did when I was flying all of the time.

The best thing is that I fell in love with instructing the flight students. It's such a rewarding job and almost all of them are top notch people. It's easy teaching when you know the students want to be there to learn. I don't dread going to work to punch a clock.

The T-45C is definitely starting to show its age. It's a fun little jet, but we need to get a replacement sooner than later.
