I have 2005 V6 Automatic Transmission Accord LX with 65k miles on it. I've recently started noticing a noise at around 25mph and then around 35-40mph. It's not extremely loud and just sounds like some metal rubbing (at first I thought I had something falling off my car and scraping the ground but that's not the case).

My thought is that the noise is related to the transmission. I've stayed on top of my regular maintenance and the transmission fluid was last changed only 2k miles ago if that is important.

My questions are: What seems to be the cause of this noise? is this something I can easily remedy? And if not is this something I should get looked at as soon as possible in order to prevent further damage/costs?

I'm quite remedial when it comes to working on cars, but I'm trying my best to learn as much about the maintenance as possible so all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
