VTEC oil pressure sensor may be bad or your oil level is LOW. Check the oil level first to make sure it is properly filled. Crank sensor may also cause the engine to not go past 3K. Any CEL's? Blinking transmission lights?

C crmplex · Registered Joined Apr 16, 2014 · 841 Posts #3 • Jun 7, 2015 step one is checking for DTC's. i highly doubt you have this condition without a failure code. I have seen numerous things cause similar conditions, but speculating is a waste of time. let us know the DTC's.
