my accord recently starts a scratching or cranking sound under the hood when ever I start it in the morning or whenever after a long rest. anyone knows what could be wrong?

Sounds like a starter problem to me, if it makes a grinding noise if that what you are referring to

yes, kinda like a grinding noise, after ignition and engine started running, immediately grinding is heard, and almost felt. thanks, I will look into the starter if that is the case. thanks

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you are hearing but there is a TSB out for 2008-2009 Accord's for hearing an engine rattle on a cold start that last just for 1 or 2 seconds.
