That's a great deal -- can't justify spending the money right now, though.

I have a feeling the 2010 Accord will have this "refreshed" look.

Too bad there isn't a paint match for the Nighthawk black. I don't want to necessarily do a re paint.
Boo... live a lil'! Krylon, FTW! :D

On a serious note, a 12oz' can of OEM color-matched paint is $25 from an online-vendor & even less at a local paint-supply shop (not a lot of paint needed as coverage area is well under 3 sq' ft.), primer/adhesion-promoter is $7.50 & clear-coat is $7.50. That's $40 of materials, find a local pro' to do it on the side for a few bucks! Yay...

I am sure it will cost around $100-$150 to get it painted, unless you will paint it yourself.

I remember when I came here long time ago and said that anything above $500 is not worth it for this thing and I got flamed.
I am 100% sure one year from now, we will be able to buy this thing for under $350. I will not wait, but I am just saying. I know HONDA made it, but even OEM parts have to go cheaper to get moved out of their shelves.
I have a Diamond White sedan, if I can buy this this painted and done for that price, then OK. I just don't want to deal with a body shop or a dealership to paint a part for me and may be even not being satisfied with the results.

I wish the 2010 will have it. This means, we can just buy it painted in the USA. I am just afraid that HONDA changes something silly to a point where the peice doesn't fit the 2008 and 2009 Accords.

All the non-USDM inspires/accords have clear corners. It's just that the United States DOT requires US cars to have front amber corners. The 8th gen inspire's extra trunk lights are a reflector on the left and a rear fog on the right. Fish Hunter, is the first to have it on his car and he cut a hole on the left reflector to accommodate a light, which i will be doing.

Look at the CHINESE Accord. It even has clear corners on the headlights.
Also, see the 7th generation which has 2 extra tail lights and ONLY 1 is on just like the 8th generation is if you get that option.

I believe the side the rear fog is depends on the left/right handedness of the vehicle. The fog must be on the driver's side for some reason. Audis even have wiring on both sides for the rear fog -- one is never used.

If the piece came painted my color (Diamond White) I would have bought and and did what you will do (Cut and ...)
But I just want to know what you will do to turn the reflectors to work as tail lights or brake lights if that's what you will do. Are you going to splice the tail/brake lights and have an extra bulb going into the reflectors?
Take pictures of what you will do, because I might be interested in doing it myself too (If I find a good, reliable body shop).

I just contacted my dealer to see how much they will charge me to paint the lower garnish piece Diamond White. They sent me a quote for $94.

So, $392 + $94. Is it worth it?

If you are a millionare, yes -- if you are an undocumented dishwasher, no.

If I was a millionare, then I will be driving a Lambo and if I was a dishwasher, I would be riding a bike. You still hasn't answered my question though
What I was trying to say is that you are the only one who can answer that question. We don't know your financial situation and commitments.

8th Gen.. and S-83:

The OEM Inspire rear lens is a rear fog (one of them) and the other is a reflector. I drilled a hole in the reflector only lens and then went to an auto store and bought two bulb housings and two 5 watt bulbs and some wire. I tapped the hot from the license plate lights. So currently, my Inspire lens are tail lights only and not brake lights (as the all Accord that has a lens in the rear deck is a tail light only and not also a brake light). If I wanted to run a brake light, I would have to find a hot outside of the rear deck (maybe my next project).

I hope this helps.
