Hey all, hopefully this is a nice and easy question.

I blew out my door sail tweeters so I decided to just replace all the factory speakers in the car. I am NOT adding an amp or headunit - I like the stock look and have already installed the USB/iPod hookup.

While I already have the door panels off, I plan on dynamating everything.

Basically all I'm asking is for recommendations as to what component speakers to buy? 4x 6.5s, 2x 1.5s and a 8" free-air sub.

I realize that things would sound better with more equipment, amps, new crossovers, whatever. I'm just not going to go through all of that. I also know that some people like removing the rear speakers altogether, but I'm not doing that either. I literally just want to buy speakers, mat the doors and rear deck, pop the speakers in, and be done.

Thanks all!

Hop on over to Crutchfield's website and see what fits in your car. Find speakers with a lower power rating that will work well with your factory system.

I tried onlinecarstereo.com, and found the JL Audio XR650-CW for the 6.5s. They're $79 per speaker, and I did a little extra research to make sure the depth was good. According to their fit chart, the max front door depth is 4.2", and these are only 2.8".

For the tweeters, I'm looking at JL Audio XR100-CT:

Still researching the subwoofer, but anyone have any comments on the above two choices? Thanks.

Instead of mixing and matching why don't you just buy a set of components for the front? Then the woofer and tweeter will be designed around each other.

Front speakers are easy to get to as the door panel comes off easily. Rear speakers and sub are easy to get to as the grilles come off. The rear deck is not so easy, you have to remove the C-pillar covers and they have one time use clips. Look through the 8th gen instructions and you can find a pdf of the rear deck removal.

I initially figured I'd just buy a component set for the front, but don't they then always come with crossovers? Since I'm not going to bother replacing the crossovers, doesn't it make sense to get the speakers seperately?

Thanks for the help! I have read about the rear deck being a pain in the ass. I might just pop in the rear speakers and sub w/o matting the rear.
