Amazing, thanks so much! I feel a little bit better knowing that it's just a crappy transmission in general and that's it's not just my car, haha.

Do you experience rough upshifting and downshifting? I am concerned that somehting is wrong with my transmission. Or is this just a trademark of these transmissions?

I dont know. I think it is Honda wanting to squeeze the max fuel economy out of everything. The 9th gen accords have a few little gremlins with Honda's fuel saving efforts. The transmission is programmed weirdly to get better MPG (iv'e heard). That is why the transmission behaves so weird. And don't even get me started on the VCM they implemented on the V6 models. But I can see you already know all the crap that goes along with it...

I haven't really heard or read of these transmissions failing very often. They do seem to shift differently from a lot of other ATs, and feel a little bit like the MTs I've driven. My guess is that the ATs are actually really strong transmissions but the programming needs improvement. Ktuner improved shift points helps a lot on mine. Also, these ATs "adapt" to your driving habits and if you ever wann make them "relearn", there's a procedure for that that will likely improve your experience. Also...and I can't stress this enough, change your trans fluid every 30k. There's no trans cooler on these by default and the trans will drive rougher when heat deteriorates the fluid

I agree w/dustybones. I’ve got a 2015 V6 AT and it has been very reliable. Sure it took a little while getting used to the shift points when I first bought the car, but it has always been a good and strong performer.
