i only have 2500 miles on my car and there are some noises that drive me absolutely crazy. First is somewhere by the driver side curtain airbag area, It is like something has broken loose and is rattling around in there. And then the second is something different, when i make a turn and let the steering wheel go back it makes this faint clicking noise. about 4-6 clicks depending on how big the turn. it feels like its something with the powersteering pulley but who knows. has anyone else had anything like this?

thanks!

My steering wheel clicks, too. I think it's the clockspring making noise. Doubt I'll even mention it to the dealer since I fear they'd somehow make things worse by messing with it.

I have the metal resonating noise coming from the B pillar side airbag area on the driver side. It comes and goes, but is quite annoying. Has anyone actually gotten it fixed by the dealer (TSB) or is it considered a phantom complaint? I hear the noise when I have a call and the volume is up loud. The steering wheel click is the clockspring behind the steering wheel and is the downside of having so many steering wheel controls.

I have none of the noises you mention, the only noise I have is wind noise at hwy speeds coming through the drivers side door, and I can only hear it if I have the radio off

I have a similar noise, albeit i only hear mine occasionally and usually at lower speeds, having the radio on normally drowns out the noise.
What TSB are you referring to?

No clicks here on my steering, but a small rattle somewhere on the drivers side.

Also a steering wheel airbag cover rattle that sounds as if it comes from the A pillar. Press on the left seam of the upper airbag/horn and it goes away. there is a TSB on it and I'll have them look when they check the CVT judder.

Luckily so far I don't have a rattle in the B Pillar area however my center console squeak & rattle continues to get worse. I've completely emptied everything out of it to isolate the rattle but no luck. I thought I had solved it a few weeks ago but it's back with a vengeance. It seems to be where the plastic pieces come together in the whole center console. Rattles were the main reason I traded my Volkswagen CC for the Accord.

Rattle

I had a rattle on the passenger side of the dash close to the windshield. It turned out to be the cowl, according to the service department. When the mechanic took the cowl off and drove it, no rattle. The new cowl is in and being installed this week. I will post an update after the install

My car has no rattles from anywhere. Knock on wood.

My steering wheel's airbag cable reel is a little noisy; not sure if there's any relation to EPS versus hydraulic steering.

(I thought the clockspring was part of that cable reel.)

 :dunno:

Will mention it at my first oil change, but like others on here, not sure if I want the dealer messing with it.

Car is still tight after 5,700 miles. (Only a couple of "ticks" with the aluminum-look trim in temperature changes. If they get bad enough, I or my dealer can probably put some squeak tape on the inside of those bits. Only other problem area might be the HomeLink/HFS module--doesn't rattle or squeak now, but it squeaks loudly if I push on the panel. Squeak tape to the rescue again, likely!)

I had a "rattle" somewhere around the driver's side window/pillar that turned out to be contact between the window tinting and a seal. It sounded like a pin rattling around, which doesn't seem like what the cause would sound like. But...the technicians were able to fix it by making an adjustment of some sort. I never did find out exactly what they did. My rep didn't know. The rattle has never come back. Could this explain some of the sounds people are hearing?

yea im dreading taking my car to the dealer and having them mess something up. it sounds like a bolt or something is rattling around right above the drivers side window in the panel somewhere. And then the steering wheel sound seems like its more a recoiling sound of something, it only happens when i turn the wheel either way about 180 degrees and then stops and then again when it goes bad to the original spot.

Same problem as you mike. I hear some kind of noise from b pillar but its very random.

I am getting a rattle from the driver B-Pillar that comes and goes. I hear it when accelerating and decelerating. Like something is rolling or rocking around in there. It sounds like is right at ear level.
