I bought a 2015 Honda Accord sport from copart. Was hit on the passenger side. I haven’t driven the car past 30 mph because the steering wheel is so hard. I was constantly having to press on the brake to be able to move the steering wheel again. But yesterday the wheel completely locked up. So I took out the battery and was able to drive it back home but again steering wheel was so hard to turn. Any idea what this might be?

No scanner codes. Only light that was on was tpms light.

Did you check the power steering pump? It may be dry?

It’s electric power steering.

These cars don't have any pumps or fluids for the steering. They are electronically controlled using an electric motor. I suspect an issue with the motor or something with the steering linkage is bent or binding if the accident was in the front end.

Did you sort out the stiff steering issue? What was the problem?
